Google Chrome is the most-used browser in the world, and its extension ecosystem is the largest by a wide margin — which for many users is the reason switching away is difficult.
Its developer tools are the de facto standard for web development, and its rendering engine, Chromium, underlies most other major browsers, so Chrome behaviour effectively sets what the web is tested against.
Its memory use is high with many tabs open, and its default configuration sends substantial data to Google — both fixable to a degree through settings and extensions, but worth knowing about.
