Umeng is a mobile app analytics platform widely used in Chinese apps, reporting user behaviour, retention and channel attribution.

Its position in the Chinese market comes from covering the domestic app distribution landscape, where installs arrive through many Android stores rather than a single official channel — attribution across that fragmentation is the hard part.

It is part of the Alibaba group and integrates with its other developer services.
