Kick is a newer live-streaming platform that entered the market with a substantially more generous revenue split for streamers than the established alternative.

That split, and a looser content policy, drew a number of well-known streamers away from competitors — the platform's growth has been driven more by creator economics than by product differences.

It remains far smaller in audience, so streamers who move usually maintain a presence on both rather than switching outright.
